A striking Italian ceramic chili pepper tureen featuring a sculptural lid bursting with glossy red peppers and usable as both dramatic serveware and a bold Mediterranean table centerpiece for a kitchen island, dining table, or a curated maxialist display. It is complete with realistic green stems and detailed interior "seeds" on the sliced sections, on a glossy white base. This large lidded bowl was handcrafted by the renowned Este Ceramiche Porcellane of Italy.
Founded in the 18th century, Este Ceramiche (marked Este C.E.) is one of the oldest ceramic manufacturers in Europe and celebrated for bridging traditional craftsmanship with high-fashion designer luxury. This piece is marked "Dipinto a Mano," confirming it was entirely hand-painted by Italian artisans. Food motifs like these peppers, as well as lemons, tomatoes, and artichokes remain popular in classic Italian ceramics.
