This antique cassettiera (chest of drawers) from Italy has a rectangular-shaped top which is adorn in book-matched veneer and a linear inlay banding which defines the rectangular shape, atop a case that houses two full-sized drawers that continue the veneer and banding motif, and are fitted with Rococo style hardware. The skirting is scalloped at three sides, with each having a shell carved at center. The case is raised nicely from the ground on four cabriole style legs. Please note that there are some blemishes on the veneer. This late 18th century Italian raised chest, with its Rococo hardware and beautiful veneer, is just shy of 4 feet in width and would be suitable for just about any room in your home. See less
