These vintage American-made stools each … Read more A pair of Dante style wooden stools, with upholstered seats, from the mid 20th century. These vintage American-made stools each have a rectangular-shaped, tufted upholstered seat. These sit atop a reed carved seat rail, and are raised on a pair of Dante style, reed carved legs (double half-moon legs which attach at their rounded peaks at middle, and are connected by a turned cross stretcher brace at underside of the stool). A carved tulip motif adds embellishment at the intersection of the upper and lower legs, on the stretcher bar, and about the ankles of each of the feet. The fabric seat is aged with stains so it is a great opportunity to add new upholstery to suit your personal design aesthetic. This pair of vintage Dante stools would work really well tucked together under a console for spare seating in a living room, or perhaps side by side at the foot of a bed. See less
