This vintage table from Italy has a … Read more An Italian white and gold carved-wood console table from the mid 20th century. This vintage table from Italy has a shapely serpentine top with widely-rounded front corners, which is wider at backside and tapers slightly at front, and backside which is flat so that this piece can be placed snug against a wall. The top sits over an elaborately carved apron with scallops and scrolls, which is embellished with a large, draping swag carved design that "ties" at front center, and again and back legs, and beautifully drapes around each front knee. The table is presented upon four slender, cabriole carved legs that terminate into hoof feet. The white and gold finish has an aged patina throughout. Please note that there are some losses on one of the feet; a bit of a toe amputation if you will. This mid-century Italian table, with with wonderful swag skirt and hooved feet, is approximately 4 feet in width; a versatile sized piece for a wall console or sofa table. See less
