Signed and sealed by … Read more Beautiful set of 3 Japanese silk scroll paintings by Jin, in the original signed wooden case. Signed and sealed by the artist: 甚 (Jin), which appears to be a one-character artistic name. The elder on the central painting is Jurojin, one of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japanese tradition. He is the deity of longevity and is traditionally shown together with a crane and a turtle, both symbols of long life and good fortune. Watercolor and ink on silk. Beautifully mounted on silk. Bone style roller ends. Paper on back. Japan, Showa to Early Heisei Era, mid to late 20th century. Excellent condition - minimal age wear, clean. These scrolls can be trimmed and framed.
