1 Owner and bought at GR2 Giant Robot. Show. Beautiful and delicate work. 2 screws at back screw into the wall.
On Saturday night, Giant Robot 2 on Sawtelle St. in Los Angeles will be the stage for 34 of Eishi Takaoka’s new sculptures. The Japanese artist is known for his hand-carved wooden heads which are often painted and then placed atop empty glass medicine bottles. As you will see from the preview images after the jump, these pieces come in many shapes, colors, and variants and all rooted in “a personal fantasy world that is fueled by the emotional ups and downs of daily life in lower-middle class Japan.” 2005
