Antique Tramp Art Box with Velvet interior and Mirror Secret Spot
This is a very unique Tramp art box.
Made of wood with a secret compartment at the top which slides out to the side to reveal the space underneath.
The top is hinged and has a large open compartment inside with mirror on the lid.
When the lid is raised the secret compartment lid falls off so taking that off pior to opening is needed.
Both inside compartments are lined with green velvet.
I love the metal hardware of the Lion Crest on the lid and the fancy Key Escutcheon on the front. Unfortunately no key. But all parts are still attached. You could get a key made if desired.
We blew of the dust is all.
Box measures 12" long x 8" deep and 9.5" tall to the very top of the box.
It is charming as it is.
It could be completely refurbished if you are handy with wood work to make new pieces for the missing ones.

Please review all photos. A piece on the bottom right foot, A piece along the back side that holds the secret top compartment closed. Some trim around the top edge. and a square on the back side above the foot. The box is strong and hinge is sturdy. Has all the lock mechanism parts in the box but no key. The velvet is worn but has a nice antique look from age. Mirror is desilvering around the edges but still useable. less
