The gold-tone (vermeil) finish on the tines, blades, and bowls suggests a European origin, most likely French. Each piece features an ornate, stylized ferrule and a wavy, ergonomic neck that transitions into the yellow handle. The handles possess the characteristic weight and "clack" of high-quality vintage resins like Bakelite or French Galalith.

They present a beautiful aged patina. Some pieces show minor oxidation or "spotting" to the gold finish and hairline cracks and age lines in the handles (as seen in detail photos).
