Large Oil Painting in the Manner of Édouard-Leon Cortes, Paris France
Stunning large oil painting in the manner of Edouard Léon Cortès depicting scenes of 19th century Paris, France.
Glistening early evening lights from shops and cafes highlight the wet streets from a recent rain.
People, horse drawn carriages, flower carts and various Parisian buildings line the streets.
The painting is signed on the lower right side. Although, the artist name is unknown the painting shows his or her masterful use of dimension, color and texture.
Painted in the style of the famous 19th century street scenes by such artists as Édouard-Léon Cortes, Jean Beraud and Eugène Galien-Laloue. These paintings became popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s and continue to be in high demand today.
Presented in a hand carved giltwood frame. Artwork is ready to hang, doubling the cord is recommended.
