Early 19th century brass fire fender from England.
The fender has a brass upper bar gallery with flanking ball finials, following down to a central wire mesh grate, made for expelling heat and resting on the original feet.
This is a lovely fire fender which adds so much to any room with a fireplace. The construction is an excellent example of the quality produced by hand in 19th century England.
