Offered is a magnificent pair of Chinese Porcelain Moon Flasks (Baoyueping), featuring a rare and highly decorative triple-spout neck design. Standing nearly 15 inches tall and 10 inches wide, these vases command attention and serve as an incredible focal point for any room.
Design & Detail:
• Motif: Each flask is beautifully decorated in the classic Famille Rose palette, featuring hand-painted songbirds perched among vibrant blooming peonies—a traditional symbol of wealth and honor.
• Architecture: The unique triple-neck design is accented by ornate dragon-style handles.
• Artistry: The shoulders and necks are finished with a rich cobalt blue and white scrolling vine pattern, highlighted by raised enamel floral accents and iron-red calligraphic inscriptions.

There are no cracks, chips, or professional restorations to the porcelain bodies, the triple spouts, or the delicate scroll handles. Enamel & Decoration: The 'Birds and Flowers' hand-painted enamel decoration remains vibrant with high gloss. Under close inspection, there is minor, age-appropriate rubbing to the gilt (gold) accents on the handles and the rim of the spouts. Manufacturing Characteristics: Consistent with authentic hand-fired porcelain of this period, there are a few tiny kiln flecks (minuscule dark spots in the glaze) and minor glaze contractions at the base, which are expected and do not detract from the value. Interior: The interiors are clean, suggesting these were used primarily for decorative display rather than as functional vessels." less
