Offered for sale is this stunning, large-scale Chinese Cloisonné enamel goose. This piece has been in a private collection for over 30 years and represents a high level of mid-to-late 20th-century craftsmanship. It features a removable "saddle" back, allowing it to function as a censer or decorative storage vessel.
The artistry is exceptional, featuring a vibrant turquoise ground with intricate "wire-work" feathers in shades of cobalt blue, coral red, and white. The beak, feet, and rims are finished in a bright gold-tone gilding. The base bears an incised four-character Qianlong Nian Zhi mark.
Condition:
Excellent Vintage Condition. This piece has been meticulously cared for. There are no cracks, no "bruising" to the enamel, and no pitting. The gilding remains bright with minimal to no oxidation. Truly a museum-quality display piece for a serious collector.
