Union General and US President Ulysses S. Grant portrait measures 9.5 x 6.5" at mat opening and framed to 17 x 14" The frame and mat are modern and in very good clean condition. The print also appears in very good condition.
Original hand colored circa 1869 portrait engraving of President Ulysses S. Grant with the US Capitol pictured behind him. Framed and matted in very nice condition with bright vivid colors and no signs of damage on the print.
Imprinted at lower margin: "Entered according to act of Congress A.D. 1869 by Johnson, Fry & Co. in the clerks (sic) office of the district court for the Southern District of N.Y."
