Beautiful vintage large Japanese silk scroll painting depicting Flowers and Blue Birds (probably Tits) by Oda Hideaki (织田秀章), master of the Shijo school, known for delicate and realistic "Flower and Bird" (Kacho-ga) paintings. Signed by the artist: "Hideaki" (秀章). The painting features Peonies (symbol of wealth), Plum blossoms (symbol of spring and new beginnings), and Nandina (symbol of warding off misfortune). Watercolor and ink on silk. Beautifully mounted on silk. Bone style roller. Paper on back. Very Good condition - some age wear, some foxing and staining, clean. This scroll can be trimmed and framed.
