This is a complete 22-volume set of The World Book Encyclopedia, copyright 1979, published by World Book–Childcraft International, Inc., Chicago, Illinois. Bound in rich brown faux leather with gold lettering and navy accent bands, this set has that classic late-1970s study or library aesthetic. The spines are gold-stamped and the covers feature decorative marbled blue panels with a gold globe emblem. A beautiful detail of this edition is the gilt-toned page edges, which create a warm gold band when the volumes are aligned on a shelf, giving the entire set a refined, traditional library feel.
