These are versatile decorative … Read more Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this handsome Mahogany Chippendale style window bench. These are versatile decorative items and the proportions make this an ideal window seat, entryway bench, vanity bench, or accent piece at the foot of a bed. The bench features elegantly formed cabriolet legs terminating in finely carved ball & claw feet with acanthus leaf carvings accenting each knee. The rectangular seat is upholstered in a cut pile fabric with a scrolling vine or foliate pattern. The fabric has a soft hand resembling velvet or velour, and is in wonderful condition free of any rips or tears and retaining a strong color & pile. The seat was also accented with decorative brass tacks along the edge. The bench measures 44” wide x 18 1/2” deep with a 21” seat height. See less
