Papperzini is best known … Read more This Italian Garden Bench showcases the best of two iconic designers, Mario Papperzini and John Salterini. Papperzini is best known for his outdoor patio pieces that featured wrought iron pieces that had gridded flat metal bar seating and rod X-supports. He released almost all of his designs under Salterini’s production company. Salterini also released his own outdoor patio wrought iron designs. Some of his designs featured scrolled vines with leaves and botanical blooms. This bench is a Papperzini design, but he mixes his mentor Salterini’s style with his flay bar grid elements. Salterini died in 1952. The bench is from the 1950s and we believe it was probably produced after Salterini died. The bench is marked Italy and attributed to Papperzini
