This particular cross has four icon paintings displaying The Birth of Christ, St. George on horseback, The Crucifixion, and The Resurrection.
The cross is decoratively carved from wood and is inset with hand painted icons. The icons on this particular cross have good detail. The icon compartments can be closed; they are hinged with heavy thread.
Ethiopian Orthodox priests carry a Hand Cross that they uses to bless people. Made with traditional religious significance.
