The tray has two long oval cut outs for pens and niibs and whatnot and two cut crystal inkwells with their own cut out spaces. The tray has no markings and the bottom is shown. It has a lighter brown wood tone with a dark brown trim and a maybe brass handle.

The tray measures 12.00 inches by 7 5/8 inches. It is about an inch thick.

The two inkwell match, although one the hardware to one lid is slightly bent. Each inkwell is 2.00 inches across two sides and 2 1/8 across the other two sides. The inkwell is 2.50 inches tall to the rim and 3.25 inches tall to the top of the lid.

The tray is used, well used. There is no finish where the inkwells sit and it has some signs of use and wear. The inkwells do not appear to be marked. One lid is slightly askew which may be easily fixable. The inkwells are clean with no damage of any kind.

There must be some slight variation in the inkwell shape as they are very specific about what space they fit in.

The set is unique, in good condition and can go another hundred years or so. There is no damage other than that inkwell hinge bend. See less
