A late 19th century French Napoleon III marquetry jardinière with inlaid veneers of mahogany and exotic woods, in a lattice pattern with unusual green color. Bronze-mounted with two handles, gallery and trim. Original zinc liner. A beautiful planter for the display of orchids or ferns. Good restored condition with minor losses. Circa 1880-1900.
