Uniquely designed pepper mill stamped with several identification marks suggesting it was manufactured between 1890 - 1910:
- A wolf head in a square indicating it is French argenterie (silver plate)
- "Depose" for "Modèle Déposé, which means it was a registered and legally protected design when originally produced.
- "LIL" for its manufacture in Lille, France
The pepper mill stands at just over 4" high on a three-footed base, which measures just over inches wide. There is a sliding door on the base used for filling the grinder with peppercorns, nutmeg, or other spices.
