The façade is richly sculpted with flowing scrollwork, paneled doors, and a shaped apron, all balanced by strong vertical stiles that give the piece structure and authority. The depth of the oak grain enhances the carved ornament, creating a surface alive with movement and craftsmanship.
Crowning the cabinet is its original Saint-Remy marble top, a classic Belgian stone quarried in the Ardennes. Distinguished by its warm light brown to taupe ground and expressive white veining, Saint-Remy marble was favored in fine Belgian cabinetry for its harmony with oak—substantial, elegant, and beautifully natural without overwhelming the wood beneath.
