The jardinière features an oval bowl raised on a foot, with decorative scrolling handles and floral reliefs characteristic of French ornamental metalwork from the turn of the 20th century.

The surface retains aged layers of original paint, with visible gold-toned and silver-grey paint remnants, combined with areas of exposed cast iron and natural oxidation. These elements contribute to a rich, authentic patina consistent with age and long-term use.

Due to its substantial size, this jardinière was originally intended for larger plant arrangements and now functions as a strong decorative or architectural element. Drainage holes are present in the base, confirming its original use as a planter.
