Perhaps the most iconic design of Baumritter's "Viko" collection, which defined the company's entry into mid century modern furniture, these chairs drew inspiration from Scandinavian designers like Folk Ohlsson and Ib Kofod-Larsen.

The sculpted arms, both comfortable and aesthetic pleasing, are the focal point of the chair. The exposed spindle back design makes them engaging to look at from all angles. They are perfectly at home among both American and Danish mid century modern design.

Baumritter rebranded as Ethan Allen in the early 1970s, dating production of these chairs to the 1960s.

The frames are in excellent condition. The support straps are robust, and the cushions have been reupholstered in an aquamarine performance fabric from Brentano's "Element" collection. See less
