Moses, Bronze Sculpture by Ceutro, 1984
Limited edition patinated bronze bust of Moses, the biblical lawgiver, shown hooded with flowing beard and a solemn, prophetic expression. The figure is mounted upon an angular panel inscribed in relief with Hebrew letters (Lamed and Shin), alongside verses from Psalms 19:9–10:
“The precepts of the Lord are right; they gladden the heart. The decrees of the Lord are truth; and all of them just.”
Signed Ceutro, dated 1984, and numbered 8/15. A powerful late-20th-century Judaica work blending biblical imagery with modernist sculptural form.
