Original 1972 poster by Josef Albers "Olympische Spielen Muenchen" (Olympic Games Munich), published for Edition Olympia 72 GmbH by Ives-Sillman, … Read more Original 1972 poster by Josef Albers "Olympische Spielen Muenchen" (Olympic Games Munich), published for Edition Olympia 72 GmbH by Ives-Sillman, Inc., and printed at Sirocco Screenprints, New Haven, as one of twenty-eight artists' posters for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. An edition of two hundred screenprints were numbered lower left but unsigned. An edition of 1000 screenprints, of which this poster belongs, was issued unnumbered and signed in stone by Josef Albers. A large edition (100,000) of offset printed posters was also produced. These are easily distinguished by the fact that they are not screenprinted. Poster size: 39-1/2 inches x 25 inches. The second photo shows the poster on a black background to delineate the border. Mint condition new old stock. See less
