We use … Read more Nice antique Victorian walnut 3 drawer bachelors chest with applied racetrack molding and hand carved walnut drawer pulls. We use to call these bachelors chests in the trade basically its a smaller chest of drawers. Big enough top be useful and small enough to be used as an end table or a night stand or that small area that just needs something! Chest was refinished years ago. What looks like a replaced backboard is actually the original board that must have fallen off at some point and when it was put back on it was put on with the inside out! Chest shows hand dovetailed drawer construction. Chest was made roughly around the same time as our Civil War in the mid 19th century. There are some scratches in the finish on the top as well as some alligatoring to the finish. Chest is 32 1/4" wide and 16 1/2" deep and 28" tall. See less
