Pair of Blue and White Chinoiserie Porcelain Urn Table Lamps with Peacock Motifs and Dragon Handles
A striking pair of blue and white Chinoiserie style porcelain urn-form table lamps, richly decorated with elegant peacocks perched among flowering branches in the traditional Chinese export aesthetic.
Each baluster-form body is hand-decorated in deep cobalt tones against a luminous white ground, featuring finely detailed plumage, scrolling floral vines, and a stylized border at the foot. The shoulders are mounted with sculptural dragon-form handles in high relief, adding dimension and architectural presence. The porcelain rests on custom turned wooden bases with warm reddish tones that beautifully contrast the cool blue palette.
The overall silhouette references classic Qing-style double-handle temple jars, reinterpreted as statement lighting. The red lacquered wooden caps and solid brass hardware provide a refined finishing touch.
