This is a vintage Spanish hand-painted ceramic umbrella stand, marked “SPAIN” on the base. The decoration features bold folk florals framed by cobalt geometric borders—very much in the Andalusian / Talavera tradition, with visible brushwork that confirms it was hand decorated rather than transfer printed. The red leans distinctly mulberry rather than tomato, which gives the piece a slightly cooler, more refined presence. The plum-toned background detailing adds depth, while the cobalt border keeps it crisp and architectural. Measures approximately 18.5" tall and 7.5" across.
