Johannes Andersen (1903–1991) was a Danish designer known for his elegant, sculptural furniture during the mid-century modern era. Trained as a cabinetmaker and architect, he created sleek, organic designs often crafted in teak or rosewood. Andersen worked with top Danish manufacturers like Uldum Møbelfabrik and Slagelse Møbelværk. His most iconic pieces include the “Smile” coffee table and Capri chairs. Today, his work is highly collectible for its blend of function, craftsmanship, and flowing form.
