Vintage African Mini Stool/Plate
Beautifully handcrafted from a single piece of wood, with incredible sculptural and textural details. A wonderful statement piece that would be perfect for displaying smaller objects, or simply let its beauty stand on its own. Sourced from a French estate, this piece was acquired by the previous owner in the 1970’s, but its exact date of creation and region of origin are unknown.
Exterior has minor wear where it looks like there may have been an outside coating that has now come away in some spots (but it all blends into the piece and looks like part of the natural texture of the wood). There is also minor wear to the feet, particularly one foot that has a moderate chip on the side, but it does not affect the structural integrity of the piece (please see detail photos). Overall good vintage condition.
