Hand-knotted Persian pictorial rug depicting a weaving workshop scene with women and dyed skeins of yarn. This is a decorative figural/tableau rug, originally intended for wall display. Was previously framed, with small nail holes visible along the edges from that mounting.
The rug is hand-knotted wool with gold silk-like (art silk/rayon) highlights used to create shimmer in the clothing and details. Colors are rich with good detail typical of late-20th-century Persian export pictorial rugs - textiles. Ships fully insured.
