Etching on paper, hand signed and numbered. Edition of 90. Etching with subtle tonal modulation, executed with Enrico Benaglia’s distinctive narrative sensitivity and quiet surrealism. The composition depicts an elegant clock—reminiscent of a small pendulum or mantel clock—partially submerged in a circular stone basin filled with softly rippling water. The clock leans at an unstable angle, its Roman numerals clearly visible, transforming an everyday object into a poetic emblem of suspended time. Set within a sparse landscape of rolling hills and slender trees, rendered in warm sepia-brown tones, the scene evokes a dreamlike stillness and a contemplative sense of silence. The contrast between the precise, mechanical face of the clock and the fluid movement of the water suggests themes central to Benaglia’s imagery: memory, the passage of time, and the fragile boundary between reality and imagination. The work exemplifies the artist’s refined graphic technique, combining delicate linework with atmospheric shading to create depth and a theatrical mood, while maintaining the intimate scale and enigmatic charm typical of his printed oeuvre. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
