Vollemans & zonen from rotterdam, 1930s. A functional barber chair from the 1930s, designed for professional use in barbershops and hair salons. The design dates from the bauhaus period and combines a clear industrial character with practical adjustability, making the chair both historically relevant and suitable for contemporary interior settings. The frame is made of chrome-plated tubular steel and features a distinctive curved construction. The backrest is adjustable in five positions, the seat can be flipped for double-sided use, and the headrest is height-adjustable. The armrests are made of bakelite. The chair is marked with a metal plaque on the underside of the backrest (see photos).

the condition of this barber chair is very good. The chair has been fully checked and reupholstered in black leather. In addition, four new floor glides have been fitted to the legs. Light signs of use are visible, consistent with the age. As historical documentation, a photograph is included showing queen juliana during a visit to f.l.
