The solid wood construction is sturdy, and all drawers open and close smoothly on their original glides. The brass hardware is intact and tight. Cosmetic Notes: While the set presents beautifully, there are signs of gentle use consistent with its age: Top Edge: There is one visible scuff approximately 1.5" long along the top edge of one nightstand. Surface: The top shows minor, superficial scuffs typical of vintage bedside use. These cosmetic imperfections do not affect the structural integrity of the pieces and are largely unnoticeable once styled with lamps or books.
