This example uses a white marble surface, inset and surrounded by a pierced brass gallery. The clean, oval shape is interrupted by slightly lobed protrusions where the four legs are joined to the apron, armored with reeded brass panels. Like the card table, this example features two storage drawers in the long sides of the apron and a hidden leaf in each end that slides out to offer a small, leather-top panel to set a drink or hand of cards.
