Arranged before a murky background, a ceramic pitcher is softly illuminated by the light coming from a nearby window which is reflected on the glass demijohn to the right. In the foreground is a white platter of fruit that appears to be bananas and apples. A complementary gold gilt frame (repaired) protects the delicate work, which shows its age in a craquelure texture, some loss of pigment, and a small hole near the mouth of the pitcher. Signed by the artist "Dehon" including a small sticker pasted to the back with unclear title and address. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. See less
