Whilst many more recent stools have turned legs, this particular pair showcase rough hewn timber legs giving some insight into their rustic and historic origins.

Their simplicity of style makes them a real eye catcher in a modern home, especially placed against a plain background.

This form of stool is often termed a Spinning Stool from a time when the spinning of yarns by hand formed a cottage industry for many rural homesteads, typically originating in Wales, UK

These antique stools, whilst rudimentary, are stable and it is noted that the back rest is fitted to the seat by a through hole mortice and tenon joint and affixed by a wooden peg.
Items will be supplied as back rest and seat separated and will require basic assembly. No tools required. See less
