For sale is a two-part display cabinet with a glass-fronted upper section, Baroque style, circa 1780–1800, an exceptionally beautiful and authentic original piece of furniture in near-perfect condition. The upper section is designed as a display case and sits classically on feet atop the lower section, exactly as was typical for the period. The design appears light, elegant, and yet very sturdy. Particularly noteworthy are the fine chessboard inlays of plum wood, artfully crafted on walnut, meticulously marquetry, and of high craftsmanship. The original key is present. The interior of the display case is very clean, well-maintained, and pleasantly fragrant; overall, the piece makes a remarkably fresh and tidy impression. The structure is excellent, the patina calm and harmonious, without any distracting alterations or later modifications. The condition can be described as very clean, authentic, and near perfect.
