1960s Turkish Oushak Pillow. Hand sewn with fragments of Turkish hand made Oushak wool carpets. Fiber fill. The Anatolian plateau is where the weaving of oriental carpets originated. Rich in tradition and pride, each of the villages of the area produced a certain design and colors that the neighbors rarely copied. These Vintages were largely illustrated in historical European painting. Their bold geometrical designs and soft colors made them favorites of interior designers.
