These fragments are likely dated in 19th century from England or France. Known as Kashmir Shawl or Pashmina and originally from Indian, they came to Europe in the 18-19th century and became very popular in the courts as luxury fashion goods and status symbols.
It is hard to know how old these fragments are, or whether they were imported from India or made locally in Europe as Paisley shawl (in Scotland), but the pair makes beautiful decorative pieces due to their vivid color, patterns and presentation.
