A very fine cast of Drunken Selanas, the satyr. Cast in Naples after the bronzes found in Pompeii.
A late 19th and early 20th century sculpture. This is a variation on this image holding two serpents overhead, a variation on wrestling two serpents or a base for serving, or oil lamps. The old satyr bends under the weight of the load above his head.
The measurements are 6.5" diameter by 15" tall.
