Gorgeous pair of 19th century Quan Yin figures. These antique figures are made of hand carved wood with a polychrome finish in shades of wine, hunter green, and eggplant. Awesome aged patina that can't be replicated. They have been turned into lamps around the mid 20th century, and mounted to an ornate bronze base with brass stem and bronze finial. Tag on the bottom from the lamp maker reads 'Sawick's Lamps & Shades Formerly with Beaux Arts Gallery NY.'
Good working order with new base cords and plugs. Lamp on the right is slightly smaller than the left. Quan Yin is the Buddhist goddess of compassion, and a protector of women and children. What a wonderful piece of history with form and function for your home!
Goddess on the left is 5-1/2" wide by 5" deep by 23-12" high to top of socket, and 36" high to top of finial. Goddess on the right is 5" wide by 4-1/2" deep by 23-1/2" high to top of socket, and 36" high to top of finial.

The wood figures are very old and have chipping polychrome, some cracks from age, and it appears some pieces may have been re-attached but its hard to know for sure. They are perfectly stable. The lamps have new base wires and plugs. Stems have been re-attached to the figures. See photos. less
