Meissen coffee & dessert set for 6 persons: meissen service, consisting of 22 pieces: 1 coffee pot with lid, 1 milk jug, 1 sugar bowl, 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 dessert plates and 1 serving platter. Wavy surface in relief, on which the filigree animal figures and plants appear almost transparent in the characteristic shimmer of the porcelain. Following on from the swan couple that gives the service its name, each individual piece of the service depicts a variation on a mythological motif. Colourful painting with indian flower branches and scattered flowers, as well as gold decoration, handles designed as sucking fish, vessel knobs as snails.

design: johann joachim kaendler (1706 - 1775) modeler of the meissen manufactory since 1731, was one of the best modelers who have ever worked for meissen. Kaendler designed the swan service assisted by the modelers johann f. Eberlein and johann g. Ehder from 1737 to 1741 by order of the count of brühl. Count heinrich von brühl (1700 - 1763) was prime minister of the elector and polish king august iii. 'the strong'. The famous swan service originally consisted of more than 2,200 individual parts / the meissen manufactory was busy for a full five years to manufacture the service. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
