Description
Art Deco Rosenthal porcelain figure of a Pierrot clown playing an accordion, modeled by German sculptor Albert Caasmann in 1916. Hand-painted porcelain with gold accents. Produced by Rosenthal, likely in the 1920s–1930s.
Often referred to as “Pierrot mit Harmonika” or “Musical Clown,” model K436 (also cited as 49). Marked on the underside with Rosenthal Kunst Abteilung stamp and period date mark.
Classic Art Deco character figure with strong form and expressive detail.
Measures approximately 7.5” high × 3” wide × 2” deep.
Good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. Please see photos for details.
