Original exhibition poster issued by the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art for Poster Art in Iran, November 22, 1977.
This poster was purchased directly from the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art by my family while living in Tehran in the late 1970s and has remained in private collection since. It represents a significant moment in Iranian graphic design history, highlighting modernist poster art just prior to the 1979 Revolution.
The design exemplifies late-1970s Iranian modernism, combining bold graphic language with architectural and symbolic references. Original museum-issued posters from this period are increasingly scarce and highly sought after by collectors of Middle Eastern modern art and international graphic design.
Condition: Light creasing consistent with age and original storage; no restoration.
Unframed.
A rare and historically important example of Iranian modern exhibition design.
