This spherical studio ceramic art vase was created during the 1960s by the German ceramist Melitta Teubner (1918-2011).
The impressive vessel has a dark brown glaze.
Melitta Teubner was a remarkable ceramic artist, her modernist works often have a unique handcrafted character. The objects are characterized by organic shapes and earthly glazes. In her work she was influenced by the modernist Bauhaus movement as well as rustic and ancient folk art. This piece has an attribution mark,
