Pair of tubular metal bedside tables, from 20th-century institutional furniture, most likely from a boarding school.
Tubular structure, continuous lines, well-proportioned.
Each piece consists of a top, a drawer with a light wood front, and a lower shelf.
The recently applied ochre finish softens the utilitarian look while highlighting the rigor of the original design. Note that one of the tops has a grainy texture due to rust, which has been treated. (see last photo)
