Traditional landscape, thick with vegetation, with a stream in the lower left, bordered by paths along which several figures pass, including the one in the foreground, dressed as a Roman soldier, who appears to have been detached from the retreating group in the center. Previously restored and relined (new stretcher), the painting shows minor damage on the right. It is presented in a refitted late 19th-century gilded frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
