The lamp has a slender black metal structure, measuring at least 182 cm, with a screw mechanism at the top that allows the pole to be extended by another 30 cm. The circular base is made of gray stone and the diffuser at the top is made of blue murano glass, with an irregular surface texture (3d).
the floor lamp has a switch with light intensity adjustment (dimmer). The designer's brand name is located below the switch.
gianfranco frattini

a highly influential architect and designer, gianfranco frattini (1926–2004) was a central figure in 20th-century italian design, appreciated for his ability to combine functionality, formal elegance, and high-quality craftsmanship. His works have left a lasting mark, influencing generations of designers and retaining a timeless appeal to this day.

he trained as an architect at the politecnico di milano, where he graduated in 1953 and where he would live and work for the rest of his life. His career developed mainly in the fields of interior design and industrial design. He regularly participated in exhibitions and shows, receiving numerous awards for his projects.
in 1956, he was one of the founders of adi – the association for industrial design – within which he held various positions. He was also a frequent participant in international conferences, conventions, and furniture fairs.
